Gate access with short-term-rental visitor software, QR and LPR readers, community video, and the network, alarm and fire systems behind them.
A short-term-rental resort that has to welcome a constant turnover of guests at the gate while keeping the property secure and monitored — a balancing act between guest experience and control.
We built the gate access control around visitation and short-term-rental software with a guardhouse management PC, QR code scanners and LPR readers, and community-wide video surveillance. Behind it we ran fiber optic and data cabling, set up virtual networks linking the two gates and the clubhouse, deployed guest and corporate Wi-Fi, and installed the burglar alarm, fire alarm, HOA workstations and laptops. First-responder access is included.
Guests check in with the guardhouse and grant access to their own guests, family and vendors. Driver's licenses are scanned and stored, a valid credential is required to enter, and credentials unused for 365 days delete automatically. Plates are logged in and out, giving a differential report of vehicles in the community, and a plate on file can open the gate or serve as second-factor authentication. The resort is firewalled and cyber-secure, and has one nearby partner to call for any of it. We meet weekly with the Lead Community Manager and HOA president.
